Old Town La Verne, along D Street, is the heart of it. Small-batch restaurants, the historic train depot, and a pedestrian district that comes alive on Friday nights.
The University of La Verne is here, which means a younger population mixed into the family neighborhoods, and a level of cultural programming you wouldn't expect from a city this size.
It's a popular last stop for families coming north out of LA County. Better schools than the closer-in suburbs, smaller-town feel, but still a forty-minute commute to Pasadena or Downtown.
